The Lord

The Lord is a refuge

for the oppressed,

A stronghold in times of

trouble,

His name is a strong

tower,

The righteous run into it

and are safe.

Those who know your name

trust in you,

for you O Lord,

do not abandon

those who trust in you.

You will keep in perfect peace, those who trust in you

and whose mind is fixed on you.

Be Expectant

How long

Hello friends, how has year 2014 been for each one of you? I trust we have experienced God’s manifest presence in our situations and circumstances. If you feel you have not, don’t give up yet, as God is set to do more, greater than he has done.

It is September, and we are a week far into it already.

What are your goals for this month?

Do you have any expectations? (If no,  I encourage you to pick a pen and a piece of paper to write out the things you expect God to do for you.) For the Bible says in Habakkuk 2:2: “Then the Lord answered me and said “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it”

Are you expectant of what the Lord is set to do?

Is there anything the Lord has told you, but is yet to show forth?

 appt time

Habakkuk 2:3: “For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.”

I encourage us all today, to just live by faith and remember that “there is indeed a future and your hope will never be cut off” (Prov 23:18)

God is too faithful to fail.

God bless you.

OUR TRUE IDENTITY IN CHRIST

Knowledge, they say is power. That means the extent at which you perform is directly proportional to how much you know. The knowledge of your status is very vital to enjoy victory in your Christian walk. The Bible in the book of Isaiah 5:13 says “Therefore my people are gone into captivity for lack of knowledge…” and even goes further in Hosea 4:6 and says “My people are being destroyed for lack of knowledge;…”

It is important, that as God’s children, we are aware of who we are in Christ Jesus, as this helps us maintain our stand even as we journey through this world daily.

So now the question is: What do you know? How much do you know?

I hope this blesses you.

Romans 3:24 – I am justified (declared “not guilty” of sin).

Romans 8:1 – No condemnation awaits me.

Romans 8:2 – I am set fee from the law of sin and death.

1 Corinthians 1:2 – I am sanctified and made acceptable in Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 1:30 – I am righteous and holy in Christ.

A Call to Trust The Lord

trust in

There’s a whole lot of evil happening in our world now. Plenty bad news that breed and nurture fear in our hearts. But,

“The Lord has given me  a strong warning

not to think like everyone else does.

He said, “Don’t call everything a conspiracy like they do,

and don’t live in dread of what frightens them.

Make the Lord of Heaven’s Armies holy in your life.

He is the one you should fear.

He is the one who should make you tremble”

“… Don’t fear what they fear, Don’t take on their worries” Isaiah 8:12

Trust God, and stand firm.

Stay Firm

Hello Friends,

It’s a new morning and a new week too and we’ve been assured of God’s steadfast love and mercies, they are never ending and new every morning. I pray we continually receive them as we go into this week.

Here is just a reminder for us all.

CalledIn 1 Thessalonians 2:13. Paul said: “Therefore we never stop thanking God that when you received his message from  us, you didn’t think of our words as mere human ideas. you accepted what we said as the very word of God – which, of course, it is. And this word continues to work in you who believe.

Isaiah 7:9 says “… Unless your faith is firm, I cannot make you stand firm”

God is still working. The Bible says that God’s Word works in those who believe it. So no matter what you see today, believe that God is working on your breakthrough. There may be some things we’ve been talking to God about for a very long time and it seems like the answers are not forthcoming or we may have aligned perfectly with God’s word and will but yet nothing seems true, please do remember, it is only a test, this too shall pass.

God Bless You!

Take Heart

overcome

Sometimes we face trials in our daily activities, we get depressed by the difficulties we encounter in our jobs, relationships, finance and almost everything. Even sometimes, we feel like God’s no longer on our side and some things don’t work out fine the way we want them to. In fact sometimes, we physically find no reason to keep calm, because the noise and turbulence in the news has swallowed the tranquility and serenity we are supposed to enjoy as God’s children.

But today I have a word from Jesus. Jesus, in John 16:33, said “… Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

Jesus told us this so that his Peace will be with us. He said in John 14:1 “Let not your hearts be troubled. believe in God; believe also in me.” (ESV).

So be rest assured, no matter what it is, don’t be troubled. Don’t let your circumstances steal your joy. Just like Jesus, We too shall overcome!

Amen!

“… In the world, you’ll have trouble. But cheer up! I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33 GWT

“… In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]” – John 16:33 AMP

Return and Stay

return

Sometimes in life, we forget our source and abandon our roots. Many times we let the voice of our current circumstance appear louder to us than the voice of our God, we ignore the gentle leading of the Holy Spirit.

In life, we pass through good times and bad times, things do not go our way all the times, tribulations arise against us, but we have a more sure word, Jesus said “… Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33

So if today, like the Israelites, you have sought an alliance with Egypt, you are encouraged to return and solely depend on God. The Holy one of Israel says “You can be saved by returning to me. You can have rest. You can be strong by being quiet and trusting me.” – Isaiah 30:15

“Be still and know that I am God” – Psalm 46:10

God Bless You!

Steady Stream of Spiritual Nourishment

July 3, 2014 § 2 Comments

Spiritual nourishment

Most times a lot of us confuse having a library stocked up with good books, tapes and CD’s with being actually ministered to by them. I have discovered that it is one thing to read a book and it is another to be ministered to by the words of the book (tapes and CD’s). In life, we will definitely be faced with ups and downs, and this is a sole reason why we have to be prepared for the rainy days. We need to maintain a steady stream of spiritual nourishment.

We need to be well fed spiritually to be able to stand the fiery darts of the enemy, for the Bible makes us understand that “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”

To victoriously conquer those spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places, we need a large chunk of God’s Word in our hearts daily and we have to live those words we take in.

Please read the testimony of a friend below:
Out of the blues, I found myself dealing with a difficult issue I thought had long ago been resolved. Despite my best efforts to handle the problem well, it just wouldn’t go away. I slowly realized that part of the problem was that I was spiritually malnourished. Though I have countless spiritual resources (Bibles, faith-oriented books, Christian music), I’d mistaken being surrounded by them with actually being fed by them.

As a result my soul had withered in a land of plenty. I didn’t have the strength to speak God’s truth to my heart or to stand firm in a spiritual battle, the way Paul instructed Christians (Ephesians 6:10-17). I wondered: what if I fed my body at the same frequency I’ve been taking in spiritual food? I imagined my physical body shrunken and emaciated. I pictures my limbs spindly and my cheeks hollow. I imagined myself struggling through the basic tasks of my day, like climbing stairs or walking uphill. It would be difficult – if not impossible – to move through my daily routine with strength and vigor in that state.

Startled, I realized that God was giving me an insight into the condition of my heart; I was fooling myself if I thought I could handle difficulties and temptation from a position of spiritual malnourishment. God gently revealed my need for humility, repentance and re-commitment to the nourishing spiritual practices I’d neglected. “People do not live by bread alone; rather, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord” (Deuteronomy 8:3); I needed to be truly fed by the Word of God. Now more than ever, I am mindful of my need for that steady stream of spiritual nourishment.
